Just Another Day at the Museum of Natural History!

Wednesday, February 27, 2008

I was walking home the other day when I got a call from Sarah. She was at the Museum and Natural History with her sister, Andrea, and they were in desperate need of a camera. Unfortunately, their camera was in my purse. Why did they desperately need the camera? Well, they swore that they saw Caridee in the dinosaur exhibit. They wanted a picture of her and needed me to come to the museum as soon as possible with the camera.

When I got to the museum, Sarah came down to meet me. I handed her the camera and wished her luck. She said I had to come with her. I didn’t want to pay and stand in line for a long time when she and her sister were going to leave right after. Sarah refused to go without me, so they snuck me in. We wandered threw the museum heading to the Indian exhibit (I think). To tell you the truth, we were walking so fast I didn’t really get to see anything. We were girls on a mission.

Sarah and Andrea had been following her around for about a half an hour. They say that she didn’t notice because they were pure stealth, but I wasn’t sure. They last saw her heading into the Northwest Coast Indians exhibit. We walked through and finally found her sitting with the two guys. We walked past and stopped shortly ahead. I told Sarah to get the picture, but she was now set on getting the pic WITH her.

I was so nervous! What if she got mad? I couldn’t go through life knowing that Caridee was mad at me. Sarah wasn’t nervous at all and once we waited for her to get up and come around the corner, Sarah walked right up and asked if we could have our picture taken with her. She was so sweet! She was so nice and so personable. Sarah and I left the museum on cloud nine. I didn’t get to see much of the museum, but it was well worth going.Who is Caridee, you may ask? Well, I’m not going to dignify that with a response. Shame on you! You might think that she isn’t a famous celebrity, but I would have to strongly disagree with you. She is the fourth famous person I have seen since coming to the city (this excludes those that I have seen in plays). It was nice to actually meet her. I am now an even bigger fan.

  1. That's cool. I'll admit I had to look up who she was, since I don't watch tv....
