Friends, dinner, and Anne of Avonlea...I can't think of a better way to spend the evening!

Karen (friend from church) and I started watching Anne of Green Gables weeks ago, and finally finished it last week. Since Liz is an avid Anne fan also, she wanted to join in on the fun. Soooo, we planned a little Anne night to watch Anne of Avonlea! I can't believe I've forgotten how amazing these movies really are. Plus, it's supper fun watching them with Karen!

I don't think we will watch the third one. That ones lame!

Summer Blues

Sorry for the lack of post. I'm kind of having a slightly uneventful summer (with the exception of going home of course). I'm not sure how I feel about it, but I do know I'm missing Ashley (roommate) and Sarah (BF) a lot more these days (more then I usually do).

But all is well! Ashley will be getting back at the end of August and Sarah is coming out for a little stay in November.
Fall is packed with stuff for me to look forward to (luckily)...

  • Dad, Kari, and Aunt Susan are coming out for a visit. (We're hitting up a couple shows and a Yankee game!)

  • My Birthday! (Spending with Dad, Kari, and Aunt Susan...I haven't celebrated a birthday with family in six years.)

  • A short weekend with Elizabeth in Utah to see a BYU football game. (I'm really hoping this happens. I need some Elizabeth time, a BYU football, and CAFE RIO!)

  • Possibly a trip to Boston. (I've never been, so I really hope I get to go!)

  • Sarah is coming for a short visit in November (of course we are going to see shows!) and Thanksgiving in Texas (I really hope I get to go to Texas!)

Also, there are a lot more shows opening in the fall. I can't wait! I haven't seen a show in a while and I feel like I really need one.

Stick with me! I'll do my best to find something exciting to do.

So...we went on a little backpacking trip during my stay in Washington. It was number one on my list of things to do while visiting the parents. Dad taught me everything he knows about backpacking and now I'm a backpacking fiend!

Instead of writing a ridiculously long post (full of poorly constructed sentences), I will give you a ridiculously long post (full of an absurd amount of photos).

I swear I'm a brunette!

A few weeks ago I got a terrible haircut. I have been quite upset about it. The lady totally butchered my hair, thinned it out, and left it uneven.

Mom took me to see Kelsey (old childhood friend) to fix the problem. She gave me some highlights and fixed my bad haircut. It was also nice to catch up with her.

P.S. Mom kept insisting on taking pictures. She claimed it was for my blog. I was like - "really, mom?" I don't want to hurt her feelings, so here are a few. She took like 20!

I can't believe I have already been here for eight days. It's amazing how time flies!

Just a few activities:

Saturday: Dad took me to REI to get some supplies for our little backpacking trip. We then went to a baptism for a little boy that my parents home and visit teach. It was fun to catch up with some old friends.
Sunday: Church. It's amazing how much the ward has changed.

Monday: So, I woke up early on Monday morning with a terrible stomach ache. I ended up spending the next several hours throwing up! It was terrible. I had plans with Kari for the day, but ended up spending all day in bed. Boo!
