Elizabeth's Travels...day 1 and 2

Sunday, March 8, 2009

Oh, Elizabeth! I dragged this poor girl all over this city.

Wednesday: Elizabeth arrived in the city early in the morning and spent the whole day with Aunt Dee. They went to the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island. They also caught a matinee showing of Jersey Boys. I was so excited she got to see it! It's such a fabulous show. We then met up at my work. She hung around while I finished up some last minute projects before our long weekend. I then took her to Shake Shack (of course). She came in on the red eye so she had been up for almost 24 hours. She was a tired girl!

Thursday: We started the day out in Central Park. We did a little Enchanted tour! We then headed down to Canal street and little Italy for lunch. We topped off the meal with a little cannoli. Always a must for an outing in Little Italy! We did a little shopping and got some masterfully awesome hats. I bought one of these for Brit for Christmas and have been thinking about getting on ever since. What do you think? Mad hot right? After a quick stop at home we jumped on the cross town bus to go to Fifth Ave. While on the bus we happen to encounter a famous person (Details will follow in a follow up email. The events deserve their own post). We walked down Fifth, checked out Rockefeller Center, got a Magnolia cupcake, and visited Bryant Park (ps. Bryant Park gave one of the best bathroom experiences of my life). Are we done yet? Heck no! Then we went for pizza at John's Pizzeria. It was some good pizza. Of course we needed a little dessert, so we walked over to Juniors for a little cheesecake. Then we finished the night with a little Phantom action. And that's just Wednesday and Thursday!
